Install on Mac OS X

Postby adtroy » Mon Jan 09, 2006 21:08

I am having trouble installing from source on OS X. The BUILDING doc file mentions "Makefile.mac" though I cannot find this file anywhere. Any help?
Also, I know others have mentioned it, but is 2.4 support coming anytime soon? I use several features in 2.4, particularly the built-in set type. Thanks

I'm not really sure about what's happenning with the Mac version (I was among those behind the initial port of Orange to Mac, but I don't want to have anything with OS X anymore - ever!). But regarding the built-in set type - aren't sets there in Python 2.3 already?

Sets

Sets are in 2.3, but not built-in, so they much slower.

I have just made a Mac OS X bundle with the freshest Orange. You can find it under snapshots on Download page.

Please report any problems.
