Changes to standard widgets

I am modifying some of the standard widgets for my own purposes:

* Merge data: I have added the ability to use multiple attributes from each table as a combined key for merging tables with a UI adapted from the "Select attributes" widget.
* Group by (in prototypes): I have added extra options for aggregate values: min, max, count and sum

Is there any interest in seeing changes like these contributed upstream? And in this case, how do I go about providing proposals and patches?
