Proportion test

Postby avico510 » Wed Mar 28, 2012 3:32

Ok so I am finally getting the hang of scripting in python (well at least I understand most of it now, not so great at creating my own just yet)

I was going through the SVM examples (reference/Orange.classification.svm/) and trying to run the line

results = testing.proportion_test(learners, vehicle, times=1)

I suspect that the proportion_test method has been changed and that that arguments are no longer correct in the example, b/c when I run it I get the following error

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<interactive input>", line 1, in <module>
TypeError: proportion_test() takes at least 3 arguments (3 given)

Can anyone please advice. Also, I like the tool tips that pop up when you are inputting arguments but I am never sure which are required and which are optional. any tips or advice on that so I dont get stuck with similar problems in the future.

thanks so much for all the help!

The testing module has recently been refactored, so bugs are possible. However the example works for me using the latest development version of Orange. Can you update and see if the problem persists?
