Boosting math domain error

Postby kkonrad » Thu Apr 19, 2012 8:31

Hi,
I have a problem using orange. This happens when I use Boosting:

res = cross_validation(llearner, data_set)
File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/Orange/utils/__init__.py", line 199, in wrap_call
return func(*args, **kwargs)
File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/Orange/evaluation/testing.py", line 288, in cross_validation
store_examples=store_examples)
File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/Orange/utils/__init__.py", line 199, in wrap_call
return func(*args, **kwargs)
File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/Orange/evaluation/testing.py", line 349, in test_with_indices
results, classifiers = self.one_fold_with_indices(learners, examples, fold, indices, preprocessors, weight)
File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/Orange/evaluation/testing.py", line 376, in one_fold_with_indices
classifiers = [learner(learn_set, weight) for learner in learners]
File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/Orange/utils/__init__.py", line 199, in wrap_call
return func(*args, **kwargs)
File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/Orange/ensemble/boosting.py", line 76, in __call__
(1-epsilon)/epsilon) or _inf))
ValueError: math domain error

I'm using yesterdays version from repo installed with pip.
BTW this happened on randomly selected subset of some UCI dataset.

This happened for example with boosted NaiveBayes or 15nn

Thanx in advance!

Can you please provide the name of the dataset?

It happened on iris.arff with Boosting-NB after it went ok on Boosting knn etc .. Each time subsets of dataset are different
