Orange crashes silently with 0xc0000005 exception

Postby Niph » Tue Sep 04, 2012 20:43

I'm running AssociationRulesSparseInducer on a large dataset with maxItemSets = 200000. When I run the AssociationRulesSparseInducer on this dataset, python fails silently with no notification. Examining the Event Viewer shows that the exception raised is a memory access error: 0xc0000005.

- I had about 800MB of free memory when the program crashed, so this is not a memory problem. It also occurs consistently.

- The number of itemsets does not exceed the maximum. When I used maxItemSets = 100000, AssociationRulesSparseInducer threw an exception and python closed normally with the appropriate error.

Could this be a bug in AssociationRulesSparseInducer? What can I do to make it work?

Hi, sparse rules should work, in general. It is difficult to fix the problem if I cannot replicate it - I have no idea where to start looking for a bug. Is the data on which you got the error confidential?
