Widget dev: cancel connection to widget

Postby axanthos » Thu Jul 03, 2014 15:36

Hi,

Working on an update to the Orange Textable add-on, I'd like to implement the following "use case": when user creates a connection from widget A to widget B, and widget B is in some specific state, widget B's method for handling the new incoming token should send a warning and, if user chooses so, cancel (i.e. remove) the newly created connection.

I know how to handle the incoming data, check the state of widget B and, if necessary, display an "Ok/cancel" dialog and respond properly to the user's selection. My question is: how (in the code of widget B) can I cancel/remove an incoming connection that has just been created?

In case it's useful, note that widget B also holds a reference to widget A.

Thank you in advance.

I am afraid this is not possible.
