installation problem on Red Hat 3.2.2

Postby Jonna » Tue May 16, 2006 18:04

Dear Orange users!

I have managed to build the 0.9.62 version of Orange on a Red Hat 3.2.2 platform with Python 2.4.2. I can successfully import the orange module into Python, but I can not use ExampleTable to load any data, not even the datafiles distributed with Orange, such as I get the following error message:
Python 2.4.2 (#1, Apr 26 2006, 14:49:51)
[GCC 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5)] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import orange
>>> data = orange.ExampleTable("")
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (out): 0x081b3a08 ***
and Python exists.

I am really greatful for hint on what is going wrong. Some kind of test suite to check an Orange installation would be nice.
