Classification via Python Script

Postby skymaxim » Fri Jun 23, 2006 16:28

Hi!
I'm trying to build a classification tree using a "self-made" script and I would be satisfied if I could get the same results obtained from running orange directly (thing that's not happening yet  ).

I have pre-processed my dataset with orange and exported it in a tab file, then I've loaded my new file in a ExampleTable and called the method orngTree.TreeLearner on it but the results that I've obtained are VERY different from those given out by Classification Tree Widget.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

The settings you are using in the widget are probably different to the default ones orngTree.TreeLearner. Check the manual of the TreeLearner to see how to set the settings, and try to match those you have used in the widget.
