Windows package problem "No module named orange"

Postby Pedro Lima » Fri Jan 12, 2007 12:46

Hello all,

I've download and installed the windows binary "Orange with Python 2.3" and now if I go to the prompt I get

>>> import orange
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<interactive input>", line 1, in ?
ImportError: No module named orange

I also tried the 2.4 version with the same result.

There is no __init__.py file in orange folder. Is that correct? How is python supposed to find the orange package?

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. Can someone give me a hand? Thanks.

We were preparing the new installation scripts yesterday and forgot to include the (file that includes the) .pyd files. Please try again, today's files should work.

The missing __init__.py is OK. Orange writes a path to itself into the windows registry.
