Visualize widgets

Postby rx170 » Mon Feb 04, 2008 13:35

Hi.

I am new to orange, so if this a stuppid question I apologize....

However, of the visualize widgets only attribute statistics works? Also, in the widget catalog they are not described?

Hi,

no, all the visualization widgets should work. If they don't you probably don't have everything that you need installed. If most widgets don't work for you then you are probably missing the pyqwt package that is used to visualize the data.

Where did you get your orange installation?

Best regards,
Gregor

I used: Orange with Python 2.5.

Where do I get: pyqwt package?

Thanks.

the thing is, that if you installed the whole orange (the "Orange with Qt, Python and extensions" distribution) this shuld install the pyqwt also.

Can you please paste here the exeception that you get when you try to put visualization widgets on the canvas.

When I start orange I get the message that several widgets use numpy module that is not yet installed on this computer. The message box offers to download it but when choosing ok the program closes.

Could this be the problem and how can download the numpy module?

And thanks Grega for your answers.

no, it seems that the problem is that you don't have the numpy package. You can dowload it here:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1369&package_id=175103
