Changing Build Process - Moving from Make to SCons

Postby mhaberkorn » Mon Jul 12, 2004 14:28

Hi Developers,

I would suggest to change the build process from GNU make to SCons.

--------- cut -----------
SCons is an Open Source software construction tool--that is, a next-generation build tool. Think of SCons as an improved, cross-platform substitute for the classic Make utility with integrated functionality similar to autoconf/automake and compiler caches such as ccache. In short, SCons is an easier, more reliable and faster way to build software.

See homepage for the great features of SCons.

I would like to help migrating to SCons for a better and easier build process.

bye

Do not use SCons!
I have used it for a while and now I use other tools to do the buliding work. SCons is very slow.
