Orange C++ API

Postby pratm » Fri May 29, 2009 22:36

I would like to use orange as a classifier in one of my project. I have already implemented the input generation part in C++. I would like to invoke orange's C++ API from my C++ code instead of using python scripts.

1- Does such a C++ API exist for orange?

2- Where can I find the documentation for Orange C++ API?

You can call Orange from C++, but nobody does it. But if you want to, you can dynamically link with Orange's .dll (or .so) and use it.

There is no specific documentation, but the classes you see in Python correspond more or less exactly to those in C++, so can be helpful. You may also want to take a look at this: ... erface.htm. It shows how to extend Orange's classes, but what you want to do is related to this; just skip the part about the Python interface.

My recommendation would be to use Python, really.
