remove "bundle binaries" in the SVN repository

Postby tranx » Thu Jan 28, 2010 12:38

Each time I download the SVN snapshot, I receive 1.4Gb of macintosh binaries in the bundle directory. They are completely useless for me, and they take lots of time to download. Subversion is supposed to be dedidacted to source content and not to build pacakges, wouldn't there be a way to removed from the trunk ? I believe they are meant to make life easier to macintosh user, however they are many other ways to distribute these files. leaving them in the trunk does not sound like a good option.

You can avoid this by omitting the externals (in Tortoise SVN, I check the "Omit externals" box).

But I absolutely agree with you. Mitar, Toma, should we change this? As it works now, the user has to do something to avoid downloading 1.4 GB of useless files instead of having to do something if he wants them.
