Windows package problem "No module named orange"

Postby Pedro Lima » Fri Jan 12, 2007 12:46

Hello all,

I've download and installed the windows binary "Orange with Python 2.3" and now if I go to the prompt I get

>>> import orange
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<interactive input>", line 1, in ?
ImportError: No module named orange

I also tried the 2.4 version with the same result.

There is no file in orange folder. Is that correct? How is python supposed to find the orange package?

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. Can someone give me a hand? Thanks.

Pedro Lima

We were preparing the new installation scripts yesterday and forgot to include the (file that includes the) .pyd files. Please try again, today's files should work.

The missing is OK. Orange writes a path to itself into the windows registry.
