glibc corruption message

Postby dieter » Sun Aug 19, 2007 12:29

Dear all,

first I would like to thank the orange developers for doing such a great job and offering a very efficient research tool.

Now the problem I'd like to report:

Code: Select all
import orange
traindata = orange.ExampleTable("train-Gent-1.csv")
traindata = orange.ExampleTable("train-Gent-0.csv")
traindata = orange.ExampleTable("train-Gent-1.csv")

*** glibc detected *** python: corrupted double-linked list: 0xb7ea0158 ***

These 2 csv files are available via http://people.vrijschrift.org/~dieter/orange/

Sometimes the message differs a bit:
Code: Select all
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x091154d0 ***

I've encountered this on multiple computers (linux 32 bit, ubuntu edgy, both with the snapshot of 2007-08-15 and the latest stable release) so memory corruption does not seem to be the cause of this problem.

Any help is warmly welcomed!

Best,
Dieter
