Problem using SOM Visualizer

Postby aonlazio » Wed Nov 11, 2009 17:43

Hi,
I tried to use SOM Visualizer in Orange Widget. But I got this error. "No module named Qwt5". I am not used to Qwt5 yet. Please help.

File: orngDoc.py, line 248 in addWidget
Code: newwidget = orngCanvasItems.CanvasWidget(self.signalManager, self.canvas, self.canvasView, widgetInfo, self.canvasDlg.defaultPic, self.canvasDlg, widgetSettings)
File: orngCanvasItems.py, line 154 in __init__
Code: m = __import__(widgetInfo.fileName)
File: OWSOMVisualizer.py, line 13 in <module>
Code: from OWDlgs import OWChooseImageSizeDlg
File: OWDlgs.py, line 4 in <module>
Code: from PyQt4.Qwt5 import *
ImportError: No module named Qwt5

Sounds like the exact same problem I was having the other day. See this topic where marko provided me with a fix that worked.

NB: This fixes the problem if you're running Ubuntu 9.10. If you're not, please post which operating system you're using so that somebody might provide an appropriate solution.

Thanks, I use windows vista. However, I just discovered that I used too new version of PyQt which was 4.6.1. I have to downgrade its to 4.5.4 downloading from PyQWT site. Sometimes, using everything new version is not a good idea.
Cheers
