Installing on multi-user computers

Postby bb » Wed Sep 22, 2010 1:13

Hi,
When we install Orange, we get the problem that the path for AppData is hardcoded such that only the installer account can actually get things to run. When we installed things two years ago, we were able to fix it with one line of code *somewhere*. I've been trying to figure it out but no longer have access to what we did then or the person who was able to figure it out.

Has anyone else seen this? Is there an easy fix with the newer version?

Thanks for any help.

Orange should run on a multi-user system. However if you are having problems, the place to look at is in the orngEnviron.py file.

Thanks. Our campus domain has a wonky HOMEPATH. Once that environment variable is fixed, things work.
