Attribute comparison

Postby vpodpecan » Wed Jan 19, 2011 20:47

I'm not sure if this is a bug, undocumented behaviour or error in my code.
I have a widget which construct some example table. Using outputs of two instances of this widget I try to merge the tables but the attributes are not recognized as the same.
The Concatenate widget also duplicates all these attributes on concatenation.
However, if the tables are first saved then loaded and finally compared, the attributes are recognized as the same.
How does orange decide whether two attributes are the same?

Best regards,
Vid

See http://www.ailab.si/orange/doc/reference/Variable.htm#getExisting and http://www.ailab.si/orange/doc/reference/fileformats.htm.
Basically you need to create the variables using Variable.make instead of the EnumVariable constructor.
