0.9.6 source broken

Postby ncarson » Sat Jul 02, 2005 22:43

0.9.6 doesn't include the pyxtract directory.
same with the 6/30 cvs build.
The 7/02 build has the directory and is compiling for me.

linux debian unstable(sid) gcc 3.3.6
(for MODULE in include orange orangeom orangene corn statc ; \
do make all -C $MODULE OLD=../..; done)
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/lukehand/download/orange/source/include'
Makefile:5: makefile.deps: No such file or directory
python ../pyxtract/ -n INCLUDE
python: can't open file '../pyxtract/'

make[1]: *** [makefile.deps] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/lukehand/download/orange/source/include'
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/lukehand/download/orange/source/orange'
... more error

I've got it to compile and it seems to be working.
It would be a good thing if came with the source/snapshot download.

Tips for Linux compiling:
1. make sure you have the 'pyxtract' directory in the 'source' dir.
2. debian users:
there's an unoficial deb for python-qwt that will get all the dependencies you need for qt
(plus it has a broken qwlib eviremental variable if you try to compile it.)
deb unstable main contrib
3. make
4. get from cvs if you have to (change :ssi: to :pserver: in the begeining of the adress)
5. make sure is in the orange directory not sources
6. python install
