Can we have a canvas-less orange

Postby chenlpu » Thu Jul 21, 2005 5:31

To utilizing computing power on Linux clusters, I have tried to install the newest stable version on RH 9.0 Linux server but failed.

I will not use orange canvas at all. Is it okay to have a lighter orange w/o canvas.

I hope that this one will solely based on python code so that I can easily run it on Linux.

The part that needs compiling has nothing to do with canvas. All the code for canvas (e.g., widgets etc.) was written in Python. Orange core (C++) does not interface with Qt. [So for the "lighter" version of Orange you simply do not need to check out the canvas and widget part, or you can remove related subdirectories].
