How does Naive bayes handle continuous attributes

Postby Borut » Sat Mar 15, 2014 15:06

I am using Oranges naive bayes classifier

Code: Select all
Orange.classification.bayes.NaiveLearner()

The results I get are slightly different than the ones I get with the naive bayes classifier that I implemented myself. How does the Orange Naive bayes handle continuous attributes, does in uses this formula:

If the classifier is explained in detail somewhere, please tell me where.

NaiveBayes defaults to Loess estimator for continuous attributes. This can be changed with the 'conditional_estimator_constructor_continuous' parameter.
