Build problems on Mac

Postby enzo » Tue Apr 18, 2006 14:20

I couldn't get the dmg application to work (it bounced then stopped). I tried the mac source download, but it was missing many things (setup.py and pyextract directory). I then tried it from cvs and got to point shown below. Also, if I set PYTHON to point to a specific version, will your build process use that one or the one it finds?

I had the same problem, but then I noticed the download for functional genomics and downloaded that instead and it works fine. http://www.ailab.si/orange/download/orange-mac-genomics-snap-2005-02-14.dmg

It includes expanded functionality, but you don't have to use the genomics widgets if it isn't of interest to you.

Thanks for pointing out the functional genomics image. After looking at my consol logs I saw that it was trying to write to the image (which it can't nor can it in the Applications folder if your not an Admin, which you shouldn't be).

However, I still would like to build it so that I can use the code I've written with it.

I have just made a Mac OS X bundle with the freshest Orange. You can find it under snapshots on Download page.

Please report any problems.
