Ticket #922 (closed bug: fixed)
During optimization, Linear Projection places points incorrectly if animations are enabled
|Reported by:||matija||Owned by:||Noughmad|
When animations are enabled in Linear Projection, the points are painted in incorrect locations during optimizations.
For example, if I open the FreeViz dialog, click "Random" and then "Optimize Separation", during the optimization, the attribute handles seem to be painted correctly, whereas points sometimes stand still and sometimes move, as it seems, to wrong positions. When the optimization is done (or I click Stop Optimization), the points move (in an animation) to the correct location.
One (dirty & fast) solution is to simply temporarily disable animations during optimizations; the optimization itself, when working with reasonable amounts of data, acts as if points were animated.
